How long is the waiting time for home health services?
Since home care aide is such an important step in life, we suggest spending the needed time to coordinate everything to the client's care needs and likes. That usually means 3 days, but unlike most home are agencies, we are able to accommodate urgent cases and begin premier home health services on the same day.

Is B-Homecare bonded, licensed and insured?
Yes. B-Homecare follows state of Hawaii laws in regards to licensing requirements. We are bonded and insured according to industry standards. Proof of coverage is available to our prospective clients when a free in home assessment is scheduled.
Can you do short term elderly home care services?
Yes. B-Homecare's premier home health services are only a reflection of our clients needs.
Are services contracted for a minimum period of time?
No. B-Homecare does establish contracts requiring a minimum amount of days of services.
Can B-Homecare help seniors or individuals already in a facility?
Yes. Our caregivers can care for you or your loved one in a facility. A lot of people find it almost indispensable being that a lot of facilities either don't provide help or provide only limited help.
What methods of payment does B-Homecare accept?
In general, B-Homecare accepts all major forms of payment methods, to include credit cards, checks, and any insurance that provides long term care coverage.
How do I choose an in home care services provider?
There are many home care agencies to choose from for in home health services, so the task of choosing an in home care aide in Hawaii can be daunting. There are many different options to pay for premier home health services. We accept all credit and debit cards, checks and also work with all long care type insurances.
What is the difference between skilled and non skilled care?
"Unskilled” or “Non-medical” care typically refers to companion and personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, as well as assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands. It could also include medication reminders, assistance with ambulation, and transportation to medical appointments. These types of services are typically provided by Home Health Aides (HHAs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and can be arranged for anywhere from a few hours to 24-hours a day. “Unskilled” or “Non-medical” care is often sought for the elderly home care, new and expectant parents, individuals with disabilities, and those transitioning from a hospital or medical facility to home.
“Skilled” medical care follows a specific plan of care under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse (RN/LPN/LVN), or Therapist, and involves home healthcare services such as nursing care, physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, as well as social services and hospice care. B-Homecare currently does not offer skilled medical care.

What are companion care services?
Companion care services focus on providing elderly home care and persons with disabilities in Hawaii with a friend and companionship but includes the following assistance as well to help them remain independent:

How do I know my home care aide is qualified?
All of our caregivers are mostly certified nurse assistants or some carry a nurse assistant certificate from a state accredited nurse aide school which provides about 110 hrs. of home care aide training. The only difference between a nurse aide and a certified nurse aide is that the certified nurse aides have taken a state exam which is the same exam schools administer in order to qualify for a certificate for the training: therefore nurse aides are equally qualified in regards to training just like our nurse aides.
